Different Types of Makeup Brushes and Their Uses

Hey loves!!!! Yes I am on a role to getting some posts done, so I am stealing WiFi at work from another store lol!!! Don't judge me!!! A girls gotta do what she's gotta do. I got this request from another fellow Jamaican blogger to do a post on makeup brushes because she said she has all these brushes and she doesn't know their uses!!  So I do hope it helps!!

1. FOUNDATION BRUSH

As the name suggest foundation brush, the foundation brush is used to apply your foundation and to blend out your foundation evenly.  One pro of using a foundation brush is that you don't have to mess up your fingers and another is that you use less product.

2. POWDER BRUSH

The powder brush is one of the largest makeup brushes and has a wide variety of purposes. It is soft, full and rounded, allowing it to easily pick up powdered products. You can use it to distribute powder evenly to large areas, such as the face, neck and décolletage.

3. STIPPLING BRUSH

The stippling brush, also known as a duo-fibre brush or skunk brush is a multi-purpose brush that is most commonly used with liquid foundation, blush and bronzer.

4. CONCEALER BRUSH

We’re always told to pat in concealer not rub, but this can be difficult when applying with your fingers. Use this brush to gently pat on your concealer for smooth and flawless coverage. Whether it’s dark circles under your eyes, spots or discoloration, this nifty little brush will give you more control over those annoying imperfections.

5. BLUSH BRUSH

That’s right you guessed it, a blusher brush is used for applying your blush.

6. CONTOUR BRUSH

The slanted bristles are intended to mimic the angle of your cheekbones, so it’s perfect for blending, highlighting and shading using a bronzer or illuminating powder.

7. ANGLED EYE SHADOW BRUSH

the angled eye shadow brush or contour eye shadow brush is then used for layering colour and creating hard lines along the eyelid crease.

7. DIFFERENT TYPES OF EYE SHADOW BRUSHES

Blending brush - It really does at it says, the blending brush is used to blend your eyeshadow

Contour blending brush- this brush is perfect to use when doing a smoky eye when smoking out the shadow in the crease of your eye socket

Smudge brush - Great for smudging creams and shadows along the lash line

Cut crease brush - If you want to carve out a cut crease this is the perfect brush

Eye contour brush- this brush is great for sweeping the shadow along the line to softly contour the edge of your eyes

Fine point eye liner brush - is used when applying liquid liner

8. LIP BRUSH

The lip brush as you see from the name it's used when applying lipstick, gloss or when your smudging out a an ombre lip.

9. SPOOLIE BRUSH

Spoolie brushes serve a few different purposes. They're great for removing clumps following mascara application. They are also extremely useful when it comes to eyebrows, whether it's for distributing pigment for bold brows or just grooming an errant hair.

I do hope you found this helpful!!! And remember to always BE YOU, DO YOU AND LOVE YOURSELF
