Smart Phone Photography

Hey Loves Happy Wednesday!! Finally a new post is here!!! So sorry I haven't been posting, i'm still having internet issues, I hope you enjoy the post and I do hope you find it informative

If you have an Instagram account, you know the importance of a good picture. But most people these days are likely only using a smartphone as their primary camera. With so many great photographers out there, how do you make sure your pictures stand out? How can you get the most out of your smartphone photography?

Here are some of my favorite tricks and tips to help you take high quality shots from your phone!

Notice Your Backgrounds
Avoiding cliché backgrounds will really help your photos pop. Brick walls might seem great to a high school garage band, but you’re old enough to think outside the box. Look around you - there are unique colors and textures everywhere!

Identify The Light Source
Make sure your subject is facing the brightest light source. You may really love the view from a window but having someone stand in front of it will only backlight them and darken their face. Instead, try a shot of your subject looking out of the window so you get a little of both!

Take A Step Closer
Try to only use the zoom function if it’s necessary. Even then, don’t expect to get the best quality picture. Zooming decreases the number of pixels available in your image so the quality of the picture will decrease as well. If you want a closer picture then you should getting physically closer to your subject.

Always Edit
Most photos need more than an Instagram filter to make them stand out. Don’t be afraid to experiment with some other photo editing apps like VSCO to make sure you’re bringing your pics to life!

Think Bigger Than Instagram
A truly great photograph is worth much more than a one-time Instagram post. If you’ve got a picture you’re proud of, you should be showing it off! Whether you put it in a traditional frame, or a state-of-the-art digital picture frame like this one, great photos deserve to be admired!

These are just some of my best tips for better photos. Do you have some of your own?

  9. I agree with John, technologies are moving so fast. Ten years letter I guess it was something really imaginable, but now it's real. Besides, I love such phone apps, because they make it easier for me to promote my photo-works on social media, which is really important for my career. Recently, though I was using http://iphotoalternative.com/, It's pretty cool as well, you should check it out.
