Benefits of Extra Virgin Olive Oil for Health, Skin and Hair

There are a lot of things that we have in our homes and our kitchen pantries that are so beneficial to us and can help us in many ways but we just don't know about it because we have never thought of researching it.

EVOO is has many benefits and is good for our health. I personally use EVOO and rub it around my eyes and let a little get inside, it might sting a little but it’s worth it,
Because it helps to improve your vision over time especially if you wear glasses like me. Also it’s better to do this when going to bed because your vision will get blurry.

It’s also good to put under your eyes as an eye cream which helps to reduce wrinkles and bags under your eyes.

For the females who sometimes feel pain in their breasts, putting a little warm olive oil on the area can help to soothe it and if you feel a lump there rubbing it consistently each night for a little while can also help it to go away if it’s nothing severe

Taking a tablespoon of EVOO is good to loosen the bowels if you’re feeling constipated or if you just want to clean your system.

Most people use different oils to prepare their meals, but it’s very beneficial in using EVOO to cook. It can be a little expensive to maintain but it’s worth it.

Eating EVOO as part of a balanced diet may help prevent or delay the onset of diabetes, it helps to regulate and balance insulin levels.

EVOO is a very good pregnancy aid not only does it help in avoiding stretch marks but consuming EVOO while pregnant may improve your child's psycho motor reflexes and more.

EVOO is very good for the skin. It helps with anti-aging, osteoporosis and skin damage. It has been proven that it adds a protective coating on the skin, both through consumption and application.

I know a lot of people love to do their DIY body scrubs especially now that its summer in most countries so adding Olive oil to your sugar or salt scrub can help in moisturizing your skin, makes it glow and helps to combat eczema and psoriasis. Also using an olive oil salt scrub can help in the reduction of acne. You can read more about using EVOO for acne HERE.

How could I forget this one!! EVOO is good for the strengthening and growth of your hair, it’s good to use as a hot oil treatment or just to deep condition or moisturize your hair. It also helps in the prevention of split ends and dandruff.

Extra virgin olive oil is fairly nutritious. It contains modest amounts of Vitamins E and K and plenty of beneficial fatty acids.
This is the nutrient content of 100 grams of olive oil:
·         Saturated Fat: 13.8%.
·         Monounsaturated Fat: 73%
·         Omega-6: 9.7%.
·         Omega-3: 0.76%.
·         Vitamin E: 72% of the RDA.
·         Vitamin K: 75% of the RDA.
Do you use EVOO in your home?

Which brand do you use?

I personally use the Ybarra brand of EVOO I will place a pic below.

Hope you found this info helpful and informative guys.

  1. I always use olive oil to make body scrubs. I recommend using coconut oil as a makeup remover, I always use it to take off my eye makeup, even waterproof. Following you on GFC & Bloglovin, hope you can follow me back x
